Mobile number portability
MNP enables you to join Egypt’s newest mobile network Etisalat, without changing your mobile number. Now, you can benefit from all Etisalat products, services, strongest offers, latest 3.75G technology, lowest bills, fastest download and widest coverage without the need to change your mobile number at all.
  • General porting rules:
  • Spending at least one year with your current mobile operator
  • You may select either a Prepaid or Postpaid rate plan irrespective of the current rate plan you have with your current operator
  • There is a 75 EGP porting fee per line
  • The porting fee is refundable, only if the porting request is rejected.
How can I change my network to Etisalat?
Porting into Etisalat the following document(s) are required:

  • ID verification (National ID or Passport, etc.)
  • Proof for ability to pay document(see terms & conditions).
  • Average amount of the last 3 paid bills. This is paid to the customer’s previous operator in order to settle any unbilled amounts due.
  • A porting fee of 75 EGP per line.

Porting conditions to prepaid.

  • Customer signs porting request.
  • Customer must pay the porting fee.

Porting conditions to postpaid.

  • Customer signs porting request.
  • Customer must pay the porting fee.
Porting into Etisalat the following document(s) are required:

Porting conditions to prepaid:

  • Customer must sign the porting request form.
  • Customer must pay the porting fee.
  • Customer must pay an amount equivalent to the average of his last three bills.
  • If customer’s settlement amount with his current operator is less than the average of his last 3 bills paid earlier Etisalat will refund the remaining to the customer.
  • If customer’s unbilled amount with his current operator is more that the average of his last 3 bills the customer must visit his ex-operator after he is ported to settle the extra amount. The porting request will not be stopped unless the difference between the unbilled amount and the average of the last three bills is more than 150%.

Porting conditions to postpaid:

  • Customer must sign the porting request form.
  • Customer must pay the porting fee.
  • Customer must pay an amount equivalent to the average of his last three bills
  • If customer’s settlement amount with his current operator is less than the average of his last 3 bills paid earlier Etisalat will refund the remaining to the customer.
  • If customer’s unbilled amount with his current operator is more that the average of his last 3 bills the customer must visit his ex-operator after he is ported to settle the extra amount. The porting request will not be stopped unless the difference between the unbilled amount and the average of the last three bills is more than 150%.
  • Customer can not port to another mobile operator before he/she has spent at least one year with his/her current mobile operator
  • Once a customer changes his/her mobile operator and have successfully ported-into his/her new mobile operator, the customers can not port-out/leave the new mobile operator before one year.
  • There is a 75 EGP porting fee per line that must be paid by the customer when requesting to port a mobile number from one operator to the other. (This fee goes to the donor/exoperator)
  • If the porting request is canceled for any reason, the 75 EGP porting fees paid are NOT refundable
  • If the porting request is rejected for any reason, the 75 EGP porting fees paid are fully refundable.
  • Any postpaid bill customer must pay a deposit amount equivalent to the average of his/her last three bills when requesting to port from one operator to another. This average amount will be used by the new operator to settle the customer’s current bill with his current operator.
  • Any porting request can be canceled within 48Hours after the acceptance of the request , after that customer will be automatically ported to etisalat
  • While porting from any operator to etisalat, no credit will be transferred.
  • We accept the following the proof of payment document:

    • Work data (Company name, address, work and home landline number)
    • Car license with customer’s name
    • Valid Visa or MasterCard issued from any bank
    • In case of Visa Electron or Master Electron a receipt from the ATM must be attached with minimum balance matching the credit amount
    • Diplomatic passport
    • Valid commercial registration (must be within 5 years from date of issuance)
    • Valid tax registration
    • Valid commercial registration request (must be within 18 months from date of issuance)
    • Computerized and stamped bank statement with minimum balance matching the credit amount valid for 3 months only from the date of issuance
    • Investment certificates with minimum balance matching the credit amount
    • Land ownership certificate
    • Stamped pension receipt
    • In case the customer doesn’t have any of the above, a 500 LE credit amount is required as deposit
